Terms of Service

Plain-English Summary
- ✓ SaveAnywhere processes everything 100% locally in your browser. Your files never touch our servers.
- ✓ We store only your OAuth access token — locally in your browser, nowhere else.
- ✓ Google Drive is the only supported cloud provider currently. Dropbox and OneDrive are coming soon.
- ✓ You are responsible for what you save — don't use this to upload illegal content.
- ! The extension is provided "as-is." We cannot be held liable for data loss, upload failures, or cloud provider outages.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing, accessing, or using the SaveAnywhere Chrome browser extension ("Extension", "Service"), you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not install or use the Extension. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AMZBoosted ("we", "us", "our").
2. Description of the Service
SaveAnywhere is a Chrome browser extension that enables users to save files, images, and links found on the web directly to supported cloud storage providers without downloading files to a local device first.
Currently supported cloud providers:
All file transfers are executed locally within your browser using the Google Drive API and your own OAuth access token. SaveAnywhere does not operate intermediate servers to relay or store your file content.
3. Local Processing & Data Handling
3.1 No Server-Side Processing
SaveAnywhere does not operate backend servers that receive, store, or process your files or file metadata. All upload operations are initiated and completed entirely within your browser using the network connection of your own device.
3.2 OAuth Token Storage
When you connect a cloud provider, the Extension stores your OAuth 2.0 access token
and (where applicable) refresh token in Chrome's local extension storage (chrome.storage.local).
This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to AMZBoosted's
systems. You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account's security
settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
3.3 Extension Settings & Rules
Your Auto-Rules, preferences, and upload history are stored locally in your browser's extension storage. This data does not leave your device and is not synced to our servers. Uninstalling the Extension permanently removes all locally stored data.
3.4 Minimal Permissions
The Extension requests the minimum permissions required to function. Google Drive
OAuth access is scoped to file creation only (drive.file
scope) — the Extension cannot read, browse, or modify existing files in your Drive
that were not created by SaveAnywhere.
4. User Responsibilities
By using the Extension, you represent and warrant that:
- a You are at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by applicable law in your jurisdiction).
- b You have the legal right to save, upload, and distribute any file you transmit using the Extension, including the necessary copyright, licensing, and consent rights.
- c You will comply with the applicable Terms of Service and Usage Policies of your chosen cloud provider (Google Drive Terms of Service, Google APIs Terms of Service).
- d You will not use the Extension to upload content that is illegal, infringing, obscene, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise violates any applicable laws or third-party rights.
- e You will not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the Extension.
- f You will not use the Extension for any automated, scripted, or bulk downloading activity that violates a website's Terms of Service or robots.txt directives.
5. Prohibited Uses
You may not use SaveAnywhere to:
- Upload, store, or distribute content that infringes intellectual property rights, including copyrighted material without authorization.
- Upload malicious files, viruses, malware, ransomware, or any software designed to harm systems or users.
- Violate any individual's privacy rights, including unauthorized upload of personal data or intimate imagery.
- Circumvent technological protection measures on any website, service, or digital content.
- Conduct scraping, automated mass-downloading, or any activity that places excessive load on third-party services.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Violation of these prohibitions may result in termination of your ability to use the Extension and may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by law.
6. Third-Party Services & Cloud Providers
SaveAnywhere facilitates connections to third-party cloud storage platforms. Your use of those platforms is governed by their own terms and policies:
- Google Drive: Subject to the Google Terms of Service and Google APIs Terms of Service.
We are not responsible for the availability, performance, data retention policies, or practices of any third-party cloud provider. Service disruptions on Google Drive or any other provider are outside our control.
7. Service Availability & Changes
The Extension is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available access to the Service.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes adding or removing supported cloud providers, modifying features, or changing usage limits.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Extension after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant feature changes through the Chrome Web Store listing or the extension's update notes.
8. Intellectual Property
The SaveAnywhere Extension, including its source code, design, interface, graphics, and branding (including the "SaveAnywhere" name and the AMZBoosted brand), are owned by AMZBoosted and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Extension solely for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.
You retain all rights to any files you upload. We claim no ownership over content that passes through the Extension.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Important Notice
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SaveAnywhere and AMZBoosted disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The Extension will function without errors, interruptions, or data loss.
- Files will be successfully saved to your cloud provider in all circumstances.
- The Extension will be compatible with all browser versions, operating systems, or network configurations.
- Any specific third-party cloud provider will remain available or maintain their current API compatibility.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall SaveAnywhere, AMZBoosted, its officers, directors, employees, or agents be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages.
- Loss of data, files, or content — including content lost due to failed, incomplete, or erroneous uploads.
- Loss of revenue, profits, goodwill, or business opportunity.
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your cloud storage accounts.
- Damages resulting from the unavailability or actions of any third-party cloud provider.
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), statute, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, our liability is limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AMZBoosted and its affiliates, officers, directors, and employees from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with: (a) your use of the Extension; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; or (d) any content you upload using the Extension that infringes the rights of a third party.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in connection with the Extension. Key points:
- We do not collect, transmit, or store your files or their content on our servers.
- We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or Google account details.
- OAuth tokens are stored only locally in your browser's extension storage.
- We may collect limited, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., browser version, extension version) to improve the product. We will clearly disclose if this is ever introduced.
13. Termination
You may stop using the Extension at any time by uninstalling it from your browser. Uninstalling the Extension will remove all locally stored data, including OAuth tokens and settings.
We reserve the right to withdraw or disable the Extension from distribution (e.g., the Chrome Web Store) at any time without prior notice. Sections relating to limitation of liability, indemnification, and intellectual property shall survive any termination or discontinuation of the Service.
14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between the parties.

15. Severability & Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible, without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and AMZBoosted regarding your use of the Extension and supersede any prior agreements on this subject matter.
